The Mennonite Claim to University Education (Announcements)

by Jeff, Tuesday, May 05, 2009, 13:32 @ Tim W

Hi Tim,
I read your blog entry (uh.. twice now) and you definitely seem to miss the point I am making.

According to any of the information I have found, The curriculum that they teach at CMU is fully on board with evolutionary science in the commonly used sense of the term. They make no supernatural claims about evolution. No ID, no magic, and apparently there seems to be no conflict between the science of evolution and their faith as it is taught. (aside form the conflict you pointed out about them believing in a supernatural power.)

But perhaps you know something that I don't, you may have talked to a student who said the prof made assertion to the contrary. If so, do tell, we would love to hear about it.

That's why I was stumped by the assertion that you make in your blog entry.

But, no problem, but that is why I asked if you have reviewed what their curriculum actually states about this subject. Because so far as I can see they teach nothing controversial about the subject and stick to the science.
